OVERVIEW
WHAT WE DO
Access control is the systematic management of who enters your facility, which areas they can access, and when. An effective system replaces mechanical keys — which cannot be audited, cannot be revoked remotely, and are copied without authorization — with electronic credentials that are traceable, schedulable, and revocable in seconds. Lightning Mobile Electric installs and integrates commercial access control systems for facilities ranging from single-door office suites to multi-building campuses with hundreds of controlled access points.
CAPABILITIES
SCOPE OF SERVICE
BADGE & CARD READERS
Proximity card and smart card reader installation is the most common commercial access control technology. We install and wire readers, program door controllers, configure access schedules, and manage the credential database. Systems are designed to integrate with HR systems for automatic credential provisioning and de-provisioning when employees join or leave the organization.
- • Proximity and smart card reader installation and wiring
- • Door controller and access panel installation
- • Credential issuance and programming
- • Access schedule configuration by door and credential group
- • HR system integration for automated provisioning
- • Visitor management and temporary credential management
BIOMETRIC ACCESS
Fingerprint readers, facial recognition cameras, and multi-factor authentication systems for high-security areas where card sharing or credential transfer is a risk. Biometric credentials cannot be shared, loaned, or forgotten. We install biometric readers for server rooms, cash handling areas, pharmaceutical storage, and executive access zones.
- • Fingerprint reader installation and enrollment setup
- • Facial recognition integration with existing access systems
- • Multi-factor authentication (card + PIN + biometric)
- • Biometric database management and backup
- • HIPAA and FERPA compliant credential handling where required
- • Audit trail configuration for access events
ELECTRONIC LOCKS & DOORS
Electric strikes, magnetic locks, electronic deadbolts, and automatic door operators are the mechanical layer of an access control system. We specify and install hardware that meets both the security requirement and the applicable life-safety code — NFPA 101, IBC egress requirements, and ADA compliance. Delayed-egress and request-to-exit devices are installed where code requires free egress.
- • Electric strike and magnetic lock installation
- • Automatic door operator installation and programming
- • Delayed-egress lock installation with alarm integration
- • ADA-compliant access hardware specification
- • Request-to-exit (REX) sensor installation
- • Fail-safe and fail-secure configuration per life-safety code
INTRUSION DETECTION
Door and window contact sensors, passive infrared motion detectors, glass break sensors, and environmental monitors form the perimeter detection layer. We install intrusion systems that integrate with access control and camera systems — so an alarm event triggers camera recording, sends notifications, and logs the access attempt. Systems are programmed with zone-level arming, bypass capability, and central monitoring integration.
- • Door and window contact sensor installation
- • Passive infrared (PIR) motion detector installation
- • Glass break and shock sensor installation
- • Environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, water)
- • Zone programming and arming schedule configuration
- • Central monitoring station integration
