OVERVIEW

WHAT WE DO

A commercial security camera system is only as good as the infrastructure behind it. Camera placement that does not cover the actual threat zones, network bandwidth that cannot support the resolution required, and recording retention periods that expire before incidents are discovered are all engineering failures, not equipment failures. Lightning Mobile Electric designs camera systems from the coverage requirement backward — identifying threat zones first, then specifying equipment and infrastructure to meet that requirement. We install IP, analog, and hybrid systems for retail, commercial, industrial, and multi-site environments.

CAPABILITIES

SCOPE OF SERVICE

IP CAMERA SYSTEMS

Network-based camera installation with gigabit infrastructure, Power over Ethernet, and scalable recording. IP systems provide superior resolution, remote access, and integration capability. We design bandwidth-appropriate networks to support the installed camera count and resolution without saturating the facility's business network. Cameras are positioned for maximum coverage of entry points, transaction areas, and asset storage.

  • • Fixed dome, bullet, and multi-sensor cameras
  • • PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras for large coverage areas
  • • Thermal and IR low-light cameras for exterior applications
  • • Network video recorder (NVR) sizing and installation
  • • PoE switch infrastructure for camera power delivery
  • • Cloud and on-premise storage configuration

ANALOG & HD-OVER-COAX SYSTEMS

Traditional and HD analog systems for facilities where existing coaxial infrastructure is in place or where network complexity needs to be minimized. Modern HD-over-coax technology (AHD, CVI, TVI) delivers 2MP to 8MP resolution over standard RG59 coaxial cable — providing a cost-effective upgrade path from older analog systems without full infrastructure replacement.

  • • HD analog camera installation (AHD, CVI, TVI)
  • • 4K-capable digital video recorder (DVR)
  • • Coaxial cable installation with proper shielding and grounding
  • • Analog-to-IP hybrid system design for phased upgrades
  • • Balun installation for UTP-based analog runs
  • • Multi-camera DVR programming and retention scheduling

INFRASTRUCTURE & CABLING

Camera systems require dedicated infrastructure — not drops run from the general network closet. We install conduit, cable tray, and structured cabling specifically designed for surveillance applications, with proper separation from power circuits to prevent interference. PoE switch installation, network backbone for IP systems, and coaxial distribution for analog systems are managed as part of the camera installation scope.

  • • Dedicated camera network infrastructure design
  • • CAT6 structured cabling for IP camera systems
  • • RG59 coaxial cable for analog and HD-over-coax
  • • PoE managed switch installation and configuration
  • • Conduit and cable tray for protected camera runs
  • • Central recording room and rack installation

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Camera systems deliver the most value when integrated with access control, alarm, and building management systems. We configure video management software to trigger recording on access events, alarm activations, and motion thresholds. For multi-site clients, we implement centralized video management platforms that provide security staff with unified access to all locations from a single interface.

  • • Video management software (VMS) configuration
  • • Access control and alarm system integration
  • • Motion-triggered recording and alert configuration
  • • Multi-site centralized management platform setup
  • • Cloud remote access and mobile monitoring
  • • NDAA-compliant camera hardware sourcing

THE 3P METHOD

HOW WE DELIVER

01

DESIGN

Facility walkthrough, threat zone identification, camera placement modeling, coverage verification, and equipment specification — with a documented coverage plan before installation begins.

02

INSTALL

Camera mounting, conduit and cable installation, recorder setup, network configuration, and PoE switch installation — all to the approved design.

03

PROGRAM

Recording schedule, resolution and frame rate configuration, motion zone setup, retention policy, and remote access configuration for authorized users.

04

INTEGRATE

Connection to access control, alarm systems, and building management — with functional testing of every integration point before project close-out.
