DIVISION 01
COMERCIAL ELECTRICAL
SERVICE DIVISION
24/7 DISPATCH · FIVE-STATE COVERAGE · TROUBLESHOOTING, SERVICE, AND MAINTENANCE SINCE 1987
DIVISION OVERVIEW
WHAT WE DELIVER
The Service Division is the operational core of Lightning Mobile Electric — the division that answers the 3 AM call when a warehouse goes dark, diagnoses the intermittent breaker trip that has stumped two other contractors, and keeps the commercial facilities of Fortune 500 manufacturers, national retailers, and government agencies running across twelve states. Every service call — a breaker swap, a forklift charging circuit, a full panel replacement — is executed with the same professionalism, the same documentation standard, and the same accountability to the facility manager. We show up, we fix it, we document it, and we leave the facility in better condition than we found it.
HOW WE WORK
TECHNICAL APPROACH
REAL-TIME DIAGNOSTICS
Every service call begins with intelligent diagnosis. Our crews deploy thermal imaging, power quality analyzers, and digital multimeters to identify not just the symptom but the root cause. We document findings with photo evidence and electrical readings, building a historical record of facility condition. This data feeds into predictive maintenance planning — allowing us to recommend upgrades or interventions before failures occur.
PREVENTIVE INTELLIGENCE
We maintain ongoing thermal monitoring programs on critical equipment: switchgear, transformers, breaker banks. Infrared scans detect loose connections, voltage imbalances, and hot spots months before they become catastrophic failures. Data trends inform maintenance scheduling and capital planning for facility managers.
COMPLIANCE & SAFETY
All work meets or exceeds NEC 2023, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910.147 lockout/tagout standards. We maintain current OSHA 30, 1910.146 confined space, and electrical safety certifications. Every crew member is trained in live-power work protocols.

THE SERVICE PHILOSOPHY
REACTIVE SERVICE & FACILITY ETHOS
WHAT WE DO
The Service Division handles the full spectrum of day-to-day and emergency electrical work that keeps commercial facilities running. We swap breakers, pull power drops, wire forklift charging circuits, install CO₂ sensors, run data cabling, hang light fixtures, and wire point-of-sale systems. We're the electricians who know your building — sometimes better than you do.
We also manage the invisible infrastructure: media circuits for broadcast, security camera runs with conduit routes, CCTV termination, register circuits, case lighting for retail displays, and shelf wiring for inventory systems. The work is varied, often unplanned, and always deadline-critical.
WHY IT MATTERS
Service work is the backbone of the electrical industry. It's where relationships build, where we learn facility histories, where we earn trust by showing up at 2 AM with the right tools and the right attitude. A breaker swap takes 30 minutes; a broken facility costs thousands per hour.
Our ethos is simple: we treat every call — whether a single data run or a full panel replacement — with the same professionalism and speed. We document everything, we never leave a job half-done, and we're accountable to the facility manager and to the safety protocols that keep people alive.
SCOPE OF REACTIVE SERVICE WORK
BREAKER SWAPS
Replacement of faulted, undersized, or obsolete breakers with code-compliant modern equipment.
POWER DROPS
New branch circuits from panel or sub-panel to equipment, machinery, or facility upgrades.
FORKLIFT CHARGING
Dedicated charging station circuits with proper load management and safety cutoffs.
CO₂ SENSOR CIRCUITS
Monitoring and control wiring for indoor air quality systems and ventilation interlocks.
DATA RUNS
Structured cabling, conduit routing, and termination for network infrastructure and comms.
LIGHT FIXTURES
Installation of interior fixtures, controls, dimming systems, and emergency lighting.
SALES FLOOR LIGHTING
Retail display and accent lighting with brightness tuning and energy efficiency design.
CASE LIGHTING
Under-cabinet, interior, and showcase illumination with thermal management.
SHELF WIRING
Low-voltage control and sensor wiring for inventory systems and automated shelving.
MEDIA CIRCUITS
AV, broadcast, and studio-grade power distribution with isolation and surge protection.
CCTV & SECURITY
Camera runs, coaxial termination, PoE power, and integration with access control systems.
POS & REGISTER CIRCUITS
Dedicated, protected circuits for point-of-sale terminals, printers, and payment systems.
EMERGENCY POWER
TEMPORARY & EMERGENCY BACKUP POWER

BESS SYSTEMS
Temporary battery energy storage systems for emergency power, peak shaving, and extended utility outages. Containerized units with integrated inverters and transfer switches — deployable for short-term or long-term operations.
LARGE GENERATOR INSTALLATION
Containerized and permanent generator deployment with fuel management, load transfer, and seamless utility switchover. Paralleling, load balancing, and grid-interactive configurations for multi-building operations.
CUTOVER & LOAD TRANSFER
Planned and emergency load transfers between utility, backup generators, and battery systems. Soft-start sequencing, automatic throw-over, and load-shed protocols minimize facility disruption.
PRODUCT PROTECTION SPECIALIST
For major retailers across our region, we specialize in protecting perishable inventory and refrigerated assets during utility outages. Temporary power keeps coolers, freezers, and environmental controls running — preventing product loss and regulatory violations. We've protected millions of dollars in frozen goods and fresh product through planned and emergency deployments.
DEPLOYMENT SCOPE
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Rapid deployment of portable generators and BESS units within 24 hours of request.
TEMPORARY OPERATION
Short-term backup power for facility upgrades, maintenance windows, and planned outages.
LONG-TERM STAGING
Month-to-month or seasonal backup power for rotating infrastructure work or seasonal demand spikes.
FUEL MANAGEMENT
On-site fuel delivery, storage monitoring, and consumption tracking for extended operations.
LOAD ANALYSIS
Facility load surveys to right-size generator and battery capacity for critical and non-critical loads.
TRANSFER SWITCHING
Automatic or manual transfer switches with load-shedding, frequency monitoring, and soft-start sequencing.
PARALLELING & SYNCHRONIZATION
Multi-generator paralleling, grid-interactive inverters, and load-balancing logic for large facilities.
COLD-START CERTIFICATION
Testing and certification that backup systems achieve full load in under 10 seconds — critical for data centers and hospitals.
DECOMMISSIONING & CLEANUP
Safe removal, transport, and disposal of temporary systems with zero facility downtime.
THE PPP METHOD
PLANNING · PROCUREMENT · PRODUCTION

PLANNING
Site audits, electrical surveys, load analysis, and clean documentation so Service Coordinators land the right decision at the front end. No surprises in the field.

PROCUREMENT
Whether we supply material or the customer does, we give technical support every step of the way. Right part, right place, on-time — no exceptions.

PRODUCTION
When a project enters production, it is completed to the quality standard our name carries. Every connection, every panel, every rollout.
